On the down grade - Thursday WLS Express

Looks like we are on the down grade for this week!  Have a mountain of paperwork to do at work.  Got to put the police hat on and put one in jail yesterday.  Did not help that he was a little "throwed off".  You can't reason with an idiot!

Split weekend but that's fine.  Planned it that way since Jan has a friend coming from Houston and they are going to First Monday in Canton Saturday.  Will tend to the usual chores tomorrow.

I'm beginning to stress out.   My middle son and his fiancee are probably going to end their engagement.    The bad thing is....I bought us tickets for Las Vegas that are Non-refundable and if they break up I guess I will be losing the money i spent on her ticket and that really upsets me !!!  UGH   Good thing is my weight is down 2 lbs.    I am trying very hard to get the re-gain off.   Better come off slowly than never though.   I'm going to probably try to fake having a good day today....I had WAY too much drama yesterday and I do NOT want a repeat of that today.   Have a great thursday !!

Much, much better and cheaper that they recognize any problems now than after getting married.  Check on the ticket - might be able to get refunded via the credit card company.  Congrats on the two pounds.  My scales dipped to below 170 again this morning so I'm going to reward myself with some M&M Trail Mix tonight - after I walk on the treadmill.

I bought them on Orbitz and they said NO refunds.   I may call the airline if they do breakup and see if they can do something.    Then I have the 2 hotel rooms to deal with also in Las Vegas.   I bought packages on that website.   UGH I have been SO stressed over the past 2 days.   They were rear ended ( sitting still ) on 114 on tuesday.   He already had back issues but now they are MUCH worse and his neck hurts too.   Stupid woman *****ar ended them was texting.    She did NOT tell the police she was doing that either.     I told him....when he gives a statement to that woman's insurance to be sure to let them know.   One good thing though....I will get LOTS of exercise in Las Vegas.   I don't really gamble.   I'd rather have something to see for my money.   LOL   Have a great day.

Awake but not up.  Work and laundry on my agenda today. 

Dad got to go home yesterday and feeling so good he went to town for dinner.  I plan to go down Sunday.

Had a lot of cute trick or treaters last night.  I ran out of candy so only have a few fun size bars I stashed in the fridge.  

Viv,  you might can get credit with the airline, however might have change fees involved and credit may be given to person on the ticket.  Worth a call.

I agree with the others, it's better (and cheaper) if mistakes are realized before a marriage. Do check with the airline as well as credit card company concerning any refund, changes, etc. I'm pretty sure things can be worked out along those lines.

On pins & needles here. Had my pre-op appoints this past Monday with the doctors office as well as the hospital pre-admit. Got all of that paperwork done & payments made. But while at the doctors office the coordinator said there was a mistake & they did NOT yet have approval from my insurance. She said that she has already submitted some paperwork to them explaining the 'problem' & said that the previous week or so she'd been able to get an approval (same insurance I assume) with only 1 day to spare; to basically not worry. Next the LVN who deals with the post-op patients came in & I explained my worries. She said not to worry, that the coordinator should be able to get things done so surgery should go as planned on Monday 11/5. I was given a paper showing appointments for surgery as well follow-ups between now & May. After that was completed I was sent over to the hospital pre-admit office.

At that office I did the urine & blood tests, they also checked blood pressure, did EKG, wrote out all medications as well as previous surgeries & procedures. They explained to me where to be at 7am 11/5 & how things would progress from there. Gave me the packages of wipes to use after shower the night before & to use before getting dressed Monday morning. Explained about the walking & drinking afterwards, the deep breathing that's needed.... seems they covered everything. Then I seen the 'admitting doctor' who cleared me for sugery.

It is now Thursday morning & I haven't heard back from the doctors office. I did just call & leave a message with the coordinator. But now fear because at the classes she said sometimes it takes untilt he next day for a return call. Well, guess what.... she isn't in the office tomorrow. Now I'm worried.... if I don't heard back from her do we make the 1+ hrs early Monday?
I have been pretty good about being on the diet they tell us to do for the past week, my husband has turned in his paperwork for days off, family has made plans to be there (some from a few hrs away) etc.

Sorry for such a long post but am really starting to worry that surgery may end up postponed  
Oh my.... I sure hope she calls SOON.....

Not much going on today in my world.  Only had a few trick or treaters last night, so my husband has a lot of candy to eat!  Work seems to be slow today.  Husband has to work tonight so it's a quick dinner tonight, then me and the fur babies watching TV.  Hope everyone has a good day.

YEH! The Bariatric Team of my insurance just verified that the surgery WILL go as scheduled on Monday 

Thanks for sharing that!! My heart skipped a beat at your previous post....ugh. Making the decision to do this is hard enough, going through all of that was just insult! I'm so glad that everything was "fixed". While it may not be the easiest decision you've ever made, I do truly hope and pray that it will be the BEST! The next few weeks will be hard, no doubt, but give yourself time. Be gentle on yourself for a few weeks. Take time to heal.

Keep at least one pair of pants. Two years from now you will appreciate those pants. I pull mine out whenever I'm having my own pity party. I also found a pair of Gap jeans size 8 at a clothing exchange one time. They were super cute but I didn't figure I'd ever get to that size. It was the last day of the clothing exchange and everything was going to charity so I picked them up and stored them in my closet. I would pull them out every now and again to see if I was making any progress. Low and behold one day they fit. Soon enough they even became loose. My first goal was to be healthy, but then my next goal were those darn jeans. Find your goals- be realistic, but don't ever give up.

Tracey, thanks so much for your reply & words of support & encouragement. I knew it'd work out, just wasn't sure if they'd postpone it. 

LOL about the 'darn pants'. Sure glad that you were eventually able to wear them.
I do plan to keep a pair of pants to keep checks with. I still have a pair of jeans that I wore when I met & married back in '99. I am really looking forward to eventually wearing them again (and to get even smaller).
